Course Overview
You smell the scent of freshly cut grass. Taste the bitter taste of coffee. See the beautiful colours of the sunset. Enjoy the touch of your loved one. Senses are our connection to the environment. It’s so obvious that we don’t think about it. Only when the senses no longer do their job properly do we notice their important role. And it becomes really annoying when the complaints of malfunctioning senses become chronic.
Jing bie or divergent pathways are part of the meridian system and are used to treat chronic complaints. In this course, we zoom in on the jing bie and the treatment of common chronic sense organ pathology. Think of: tinnitus, hoarse voice and chronic conjunctivitis. Skin complaints are not discussed during this lecture.
You will learn to use the jing bie as part of the meridian system. Brechtje Sebregts discusses case studies with various pathologies and explains the choices made. In this way, you can formulate a diagnosis from the information you got from the anamnesis. And based on that, you make a treatment plan. Using case studies, the teaching material fits seamlessly with your work as an acupuncturist.
